Resident Approved Hiring Process
Many of us have been presented with the unenviable task of hiring someone to work within our home. Not only are you searching for the most qualified person for the job-but just as important is that you hire someone you can trust; someone who “feels like the right fit.”
Building on that simple premise, before any member of our staff is hired each applicant must meet with the Employment Advisory Committee (EAC)-a hiring board formed entirely of Mission View’s residents. During this final phase of the interview process, each candidate is interviewed by the resident committee for final approval-or denial. Who has a more invested interest in ensuring only the most caring individuals join our community but the residents themselves? Once invited in, whatever their job is, staff member’s are trained to weave compassion and hospitality into their daily tasks from the moment they join our community.
The caring relationship that grows between resident and each member of our team is fostered by each staff member’s personal mission: a commitment statement individually framed and prominently displayed in the front entrance, synchronizing each diverse role we all play into one singular vision shared by all.
